Great job of rendering a classic comic image in oils and retaining the energy and (naive?) charm of the original source material. Too many painters of comparable skill treat of like subject matter in oils or acrylic and lose the essence of the source material in flaunting their ability to paint "realistically". (cough-cough) Alex Ross and Joe Jusko (cough-cough)...
